Editorial standards

Personal experience. Clear sources. Human accountability.

TransSculpt is written and edited by Kenya Boudreaux. I am responsible for the writing I publish and for making clear what comes from my experience, what comes from a source, and what remains uncertain.

Experience is not a universal result.

A personal essay describes my own experience. It should not invent an event, a conversation, a measurement, or an outcome. My story does not establish what another person should expect.

Research should remain traceable.

When an article makes a substantive factual claim, the supporting source should be identifiable. Research notes distinguish the population studied, the finding, and the limits of applying it to trans women or to an individual.

A tool-generated summary is not a source. A citation must support the claim attached to it, not merely concern the same subject.

AI and other editorial tools.

AI tools may support organization, drafting, editing, coding, and research discovery. They do not replace lived experience, source verification, or my responsibility for publication.

I review material before publication and disclose substantive AI assistance where it materially shaped the work. I do not use synthetic personal experiences, fabricated quotations, or invented sources.

Images and personal records.

Documentary images and personal records should be presented with their context intact. Synthetic or substantially altered imagery must not be presented as proof of my body, my progress, or a medical outcome.

Health information has limits.

TransSculpt is a personal publication, not a medical service. Discussion of training, hormones, nutrition, or surgery is not an individual assessment or a substitute for the clinicians responsible for someone's care.

Corrections and commercial relationships.

Material corrections are identified and dated on the affected article. Paid relationships, gifted items, and affiliate links are disclosed when they are relevant to a piece of writing.

There is no separate editorial board implied by this policy. Accountability stays with the named author.
